Achievements

Good Luck to Julianna Elsea, one of our Oakland students, on being crowned "Little Miss Sunburst" this past December. Julianna will go on to compete for the state title this May. She was also crowned queen of the Oakland Cotton Festival. Jordan Elsea, Julianna's little sister and also a student in Oakland, competed and placed in this pageant, also. Way to go girls!!
Congratulations to Falon Avery, a Bartlett vocal student, on her recent roll in "Narnia" at Playhouse on the Square. Good luck with your upcoming audition for "Oliver!" Falon is a very promising up and coming young actress! We are very proud of her thespian accomplishments!!
Congratulations to Lauren Lammey ,one of our Bartlett Sr. dancers and singers, on being bestowed two top honors, The Golden Key Award and the American Visions Award, for her acrylic painting, "Into the Soup". Lauren was one of five chosen ,from a field of 2000 participants. Her painting will now go to New York to compete for another prestigious award!
Congratulations to Shelley Golden , one of our Oakland dance students, on winning the Oakland Elementary School Talent Show!
Good Luck to Julia Stotts, a Bartlett dance student, as she competes for a NAACP dance arts scholarship. Best of Luck!!
Congratulations to Henry Widdop on being cast in Playhouse on the Square's production of "Oliver"! We also have our fingers and legs crossed for Henry, he is going to New York city next week for the final audition for the touring company of "Billy Elliott". Henry is up for the part of Billy Elliott's best friend. Congratulations to little sis Jane on her part in the music video starring Jessica Harp, formerly of the Wreckers. Jane filmed her part in Nashville, Tennessee. Way to go Widdop Family!!!

Adult Dance Classes

Adult ballet/jazz classes are offered on Tuesday evening from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Come join the fun and get a great workout at the same time! If interest is shown, we will be adding adult tap classes, too. Tell your friends!

Add-on classes

For all students wanting to increase their dance abilities, we offer multiple days of additional classes and times. If you are interested in increasing your class time, please contact one of the teachers or the office.

Important Reminder

All dance students MUST wear proper dance attire in dance classes and have hair pulled up or back. (please refer to your policy letter) All shoes must have the students name in them to prevent loss. Promptness to classes is essential. NO tap shoes are to be worn on the office floor. All vocal students should bring a blank tape to class each week. Please abide by these rules.

Notice

Please remember the Bartlett studio follows the Shelby County School Inclement Weather Policy and the Oakland studio follows the Fayette County Inclement Weather Policy. When the county schools are closed due to the weather, the studio will also be closed. Exceptions would be if the roads had cleared by the class times. You can call to verify if the class is in session.
