Tip of the Month

Students, as we head into this busy rehearsal season, please take the time to take care of your bodies! Like you take the time to do maintenance to your cars to keep them running smoothly, please remember, our bodies must be kept up as a well oiled machine, also. Nutrition is of the utmost importance. This is the fuel to run the machine. Keep lots of fruit and nuts at hand for a quick pick me up, NOT a quick sugar fix from candies and sugary soft drinks. The sugar will let you down quickly, and your stamina will follow. Stretching our muscles goes without saying! This is IMPERATIVE to keeping healthy muscles! What is a dancer with torn ligaments and tendons? It just takes a few minutes to properly warm up these areas, which could save you hours of recuperating time. We all face many long and tedious hours of rehearsing before the performances, let's make sure we all make it to our target with healthy, strong bodies. This a "Tip of the Month".
