Erica's passion for dance began at the age of three when she
began ballet and tap classes with Beth Cross. Over the next 15 years
Erica continued extensive training under Beth in the phases of Jazz,
Tap, Lyrical/contemporary, and Ballet; with additional Ballet training
from Memphis Ballet. Erica gained background in Cheer, Pom, and Hip-
hop from 1997-2001 while being a member of both the Bartlett High school
and Memphis Elite All-stars Varsity Pom squads. In 2001 Erica trained
for a week on the East coast in Jazz and Hip Hop at the Steps on
Broadway Studio in New York, NY. Erica began teaching and
choreographing in all phases at BCCDV in 2001.
In addition to the
art of dance, Erica has also stayed committed to physical fitness
throughout her life. Recently she has become certified as an ACE
(American Council on Exercise) group fitness instructor; and in
addition she is certified through the American Red Cross in CPR(cardio-
pulmonary Resurrection) and AED (automated external defibrillator).
She has brought her love of movement, music, and fitness into the
mainstream fitness scene leading dance fitness classes in local gyms.
Erica will soon be broadening her certifications through ACE to Personal
Training as well, focusing on women clientele.
Above all else,
Erica is the proud and dedicated wife of her husband, Mike Hill, and
mother of their two sons, Pierce and Kade.
