Achievements
We would like to congratulate the following students for their
accomplishments this year-- WE ARE SO PROUD!!!
Elisabeth Hipp was crowned "Miss Youth Personality" 2005-2006 for the
Mid-South Fair.
We tip our hats to budding young actresses - Allessandra Daniele is the
star of a series of commercials being shot for a national grocery.
Mara Daniele is also participating in a commercial. Page Smith shot a
pilot for a summer replacement show.
Krista McMurry, one of our senior dancers, was bestowed a huge honor.
She auditioned, amongst hundreds, for a coveted spot in the "Governor's
School for the Arts." There were only six selected from the Nashville
audition. These six represent states all around the south. This
is a 6-week intensive dance study. Krista will be conducting
some classes this summer at the studio after her 6-week session is over.
New Technique Classes Now Offered
Three new tech classes are now being offered for students 7 and up. These
classes consist of ballet technique, which is critical for all phases of
dance, and jazz technique with an emphasis on proper body placement for
leaps and turns. These classes are designed to compliment the dancers
regular curriculum. The tech class for the younger students is Tuesday night
from 7:15-8:15 p.m., and the advanced tech classes are Wednesday afternoon
from 4:00-5:00 p.m. and Wednesday evening from 7:15-8:15 p.m.
New Variety Group Forming
Miss Beth & Mr. Keith would like to form a variety group (dance & vocal)
for the younger students ages 9-12 yrs. old. This will be open to female and
male students by auditions. The Sr. variety has been so popular, we would
like to explore possibilities with a younger group. Any older students
interested in auditioning for another sr. variety group, please talk to Miss
Beth or Mr. Keith.
Adult Dance Classes Now Offered
New adult ballet/jazz classes are now offered on Tuesday evenings from
6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Come join the fun and get a great workout at
the same time! If interest is shown we will be offering adult beginner
tap classes, also. Tell your friends!
All Boys Vocal Group
We are putting together an "All Boys" vocal group - know any "want to be"
N'Syncer's? We are also offering classes for boys in jazz and hip-hop.
We offer the whole package. Get in on the ground floor of this project
- who knows what might happen!!
Important Reminder
All dance students MUST wear proper dance attire in dance
classes and have hair pulled up or back. (Please refer to you policy
letters) All shoes must have the students name in them to prevent
their loss. Promptness to classes is essential. NO tap shoes are
to be worn on the office floor. All vocal students should bring a
blank tape to class each week. Please abide by these rules.
